Bereavement Support Group
Meets at Monmouth Medical Center, 300 Second Avenue, Long Branch, N.J. Call Eileen Cusack at 732-923-6226 for start date of next series, location and registration. 

Bereavement Support Group
Meets at 1:00 p.m. on the 2nd Thursday of every month and at 2:00 p.m. on the 4th Wednesday of every month at the Lighthouse at Whiting, 63 Lacey Road, Whiting, N.J.  For more information or to register, please call 1-800-621-0096.

Blood Pressure Screening
10:30 a.m. - High blood pressure can be a warning sign for a variety of health problems. Have your blood pressure checked through this free screening to be conducted by health care professionals from Monmouth Medical Center. At the Long Branch Senior center, 85 Second Ave., Long Branch, NJ. Call for date and time at 732-571-6542.

10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. on the second Wednesday, each month - High blood pressure can be a warning sign for variety of health problems. Have your blood pressure checked through this free screening to be conducted by health care professionals from Monmouth Medical Center; At Monmouth Mall, Food Court, Eatontown.

Free Screenings...to Uninsured and Underinsured Men and Women in Ocean County
The screenings are performed at three convenient locations: The Ocean County Health Department in Toms River, Family Planning, Inc. in Lakewood and at Kimball Medical Center's Breast Center. To make an appointment or for more information, call 732-730-1236. 

Gay & Lesbian Senior Support Group
The goal is to provide education and advocacy unique to you and your lifestyle. Program is held every 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month at 5:00 p.m. at The Lighthouse at Toms River, 599 Route 37 (Cory Building), Toms River, N.J. For more detailed information, call

Parkinson's Disease Support Group
10:00 a.m. - A free support group session for patients and caregivers providing mutual support, education and information. Facilitated by a social worker from the Rehabilitation Hospital of Tinton Falls, and co-sponsored by Monmouth Medical Center. At SCAN Learning Center (Age 50 and over), Monmouth Mall, Eatontown; Registration and SCAN membership required. Call 732-542-1326.

Parkinson's Exercise Program
Program is held Monday  from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. and 11:30 - 1:00 p.m. at Community Medical Center's Center for Health  Promotion, 368 Lakehurst Road, Toms River, N.J. Call Roy Hyland, Fitness Specialist at 732-240-0393 for more information and to register. 
Fee: $5.00 for five-class session.

Self-Defense Exercise for Older Adults
Beginner classes held on the first and third Friday of every month from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Call the Senior Health Network at 1-800-621-0096 for more information and to register.
Fee: $3.00 for each class.

Shore Area Stroke Survivors
7:00 p.m. on the second Wednesday each month. Educational/social support group for post-stroke patients and significant others. Monthly speakers at the Rehabilitation Hospital of Tinton Falls, Cafeteria, 2 Centre Plaza. Registration required. For registration, contact Lara Latzsch at 732-460-5377. Co-sponsored by Monmouth Medical Center.

Smoke Free Support Group
7:00 p.m. Free; If you recently quit or are struggling to quit smoking, a support group can help you be successful. Members will learn how to help themselves and support each other in their efforts to stop smoking; At Monmouth Medical Center. Registration required. Call (732) 923-6990 for more information.

Surfing Seniors
This is an opportunity to find out what the Internet is all about. It is also a chance to learn about its capabilities and actually use it. For more information or to set up an appointment, call 732-730-1236.
