Congenital
heart disease in adults has emerged as a new area of cardiovascular
medicine that addresses the needs of over 1 million “grown-ups” with
congenital heart disease in the United States.
Recognizing the need for specialized care for this
unique patient population, the Center for Adult Congenital Heart Disease
at Children's Hospital of New Jersey provides the full range of support,
care and treatment services to manage adult patients with congenital
heart disease, ages 18 and older. The Center offers medical and other
professional resources using a multidisciplinary approach, which is
unique to this region.
