The Medical Education programs within the Saint Barnabas Health Care
System include:

Graduate Medical Education programs are sponsored by the three teaching
institutions affiliated with the System:
The System hosts medical students from the University
of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey/New Jersey Medical School in
Newark, NJ , and Drexel University
College of Medicine in Philadelphia, PA, for junior year clerkship
and senior year electives. The System is a major clinical campus for New
York College of Osteopathic Medicine in Old Westbury, New York,
and is affiliated with the St. George's
University School of Medicine, in Grenada, for junior and senior
clerkships.
Residencies and fellowhips in a wide variety of specialties and subspecialties
are offered. Clinical research and public health issues are an integral
part of our education mission.
Continuing Medical Education (CME) activities are conducted throughout
the System, with our hospitals accredited by the Medical Society of
New Jersey to offer CME to the physicians in the community.
A number of physician-assistant, technician and other allied health
professions students obtain clinical experience within the System.
Highest quality medical education is felt to result in highest quality
patient care and ultimately delivers to our patients the most current,
cost-effective, and integrated medical care possible.
