Knowledge Based
Objectives: At the end of the rotation, the resident
should be able to:

- Demonstrate knowledge regarding pediatric gastrointestinal fluoroscopy and
indications for fluoroscopic evaluation of gastric bypass patients.
- Discuss, with increased understanding, GI/GU tract pathology.
- Discuss the different types of gastric banding and bypass surgery.
- Integrate knowledge of all radiologic imaging modalities for evaluation of
GI/GU pathology so that the most appropriate study will be done and studies will
be done in the proper sequence.

Technical Skills:
At the end of the rotation, the resident should
be able to:

- Show improvement in performance of outpatient and pediatric fluoroscopic
examinations.
- Demonstrate the technical skills and interpret the results of a fluoroscopic evaluation
of gastric bypass surgery.
- Demonstrate the technical skills for performance of an air contrast barium enema.

and Value Judgment Skills: At the end of the
rotation, the resident should be able to:

- Demonstrate improvement of decision-making skills .
- Read and dictate studies with minimal assistance from the faculty radiologist.
