This Center introduces the Picture Archiving Communications System (PACS), a new generation of filmless technology
that provides rapid communication between radiologists and physicians.
Images are transmitted and projected anywhere within the Ambulatory
Care Center as well as to other locations outside the Center including
Saint Barnabas Medical Center and ultimately to private physician
offices equipped to receive these transmissions. The most sophisticated
diagnostic radiology equipment and testing are offered including
such specialized technology as PET Scan,
ultrasonography, computerized tomography (CT scan), nuclear medicine,
mammography (see The Breast Center) and the most advanced Magnetic
Resonance Imaging (MRI) available. For the benefit of our patients,
two MRIs are provided: a traditional MRI and an open MRI. We will
gladly accommodate your preferences based on the guidance of your
physician regarding the type of MRI that is best suited to your
particular needs. A staff of board certified radiologists, registered
nurses and professional radiologic technologists work together
as a team to provide the highest quality imaging results
