Our full-service Pain Institute aggressively confronts the problems of post-operative, rehabilitative and chronic pain. A physician with expertise in pain management screens each patient and designs an initial individualized treatment plan.
The Institute brings together a wide network of professionals from the Saint Barnabas Medical Staff to collaborate on designing the most effective plan of care. Medical treatment is combined with physical therapy, psychological support and the judicious use of pain medication. In fact, our multi-treatment team of experts includes physician pain specialists who are board-certified in anesthesia, pain management, physical medicine and rehabilitation as well as highly trained clinical staff.
We are dedicated to restoring you to a more independent, productive and enjoyable life. Depending on your needs, your path to wellness may include a variety of services, all located under one roof for convenience and to ensure coordinated care. Your progress will continue to be monitored by your own physician.
Our specialists offer a broad range of diagnostic and treatment services for patients with acute, chronic and cancer pain as well as conditions such as:

Intervention Pain Management (973.322.7246): Advanced procedures such as anesthetic or steroid injections, nerve block, spinal cord stimulation or implantation of a medication delivery system to alleviate pain.
Health & Wellness Services (973.322.7444): Comprehensive, monitored and individualized exercise program staffed with exercise physiologists.
