Early assessment and treatment are the key factors to help improve
the overall functioning of individuals with lymphedema and
to prevent the development of long-term complications. Lymphedema
Therapy provides the most current techniques to reduce edema
and improve functioning of the involved arm(s) or leg(s). Specially
trained occupational and physical therapists work closely with
physicians to customize an appropriate treatment plan for each
patient, and emotional support and reassurance are offered
to help achieve optimal results.
Evaluation, treatment and education are provided to patients of
all ages with musculoskeletal, neurologic, cognitive-perceptual
and orthopedic disorders. Registered therapists use goal-directed
activities to help patients achieve their maximum level of
functioning in all aspects of daily living, including self-care,
work and leisure. Therapy is provided in a caring, dynamic
environment using the latest technology available.
This cheerful, child-centered program is staffed with therapists
who specialize in the physical and occupational therapy needs
of children. Pediatric therapists are trained in the evaluation
and treatment of a full spectrum of developmental, neurological
and orthopedic problems in a gentle, play-oriented setting.
The pediatric treatment area is completely furnished with an
array of equipment and activities designed to meet the needs
of children of all ages and levels of ability. Family members
are encouraged to participate in their child's therapy sessions
or may view treatment from an adjacent observation room.
 In conjunction with the referring physician, state-licensed
physical therapists develop the most appropriate course of treatment
to assist patients of all ages achieve their maximum level of
function. The Center offers the latest exercise equipment, including
Cybex, isokinetic testing apparatus, treadmills, NordicTracks
and electrotherapeutic modalities. This equipment is used to
supplement the hands-on skill and expertise of our highly trained
therapists.
This program provides rehabilitation services for injured workers
and is staffed by experienced occupational and physical therapists.
An emphasis is placed on communication between the rehabilitation
team, the patient and the referral source in order to promote
case closure and cost containment by facilitating recovery and
return to work that is consistent with the patients overall health
concerns and well-being. The services provided include physical
and occupational therapy, functional capacity evaluations, work
conditioning, back education and job site analysis.
