NEW PARKING DECK

More than 700 spaces to accommodate physicians, employees
and visitors on the Clara Maass Medical Center Campus

BELLEVILLE, N.J. August 25, 2006-- With sirens and horns blaring from vintage automobiles, Clara Maass Medical Center, an affiliate of the Saint Barnabas Health Care System, ceremoniously opened the campus' new Parking Deck just slightly after Noon on Tuesday, August 22 before an assembled crowd of local dignitaries, physicians and employees.

"I would like to thank all of our physicians, employees, neighbors, patients and visitors for their patience and understanding over the last 2 1/2 years, as we dealt with the challenge of replacing the former parking facility," said Thomas A. Biga, Executive Director, Clara Maass Medical Center. "With more than 700 spaces, Clara Maass Medical Center will be able to meet the parking needs of patients and visitors for years to come."

Following the welcoming remarks, twenty-six pre-schoolers from "Kids Place," Clara Maass Medical Center's day care facility, then paraded up the entrance-way into the Parking Deck aboard a variety of children's vehicles, including tricycles and cozy-coupe mobiles.

The first automobiles to ceremoniously enter the parking deck included a 1960 Ambulance driven by Arthur Lester, M.D., President of Clara Maass' Medical Staff and Eugene Chiappeta, M.D., with its siren blaring, a 1960 Lincoln Mark V driven by Mr. Biga and Thomas Kelaher, Chairman of Clara Maass Medical Center's Board of Trustees, and a 1955 Chevrolet Bellaire driven by John Love, Director of Security at Clara Maass and Michael Gentile, M.D.
