Belleville, N.J. -- Proud parents, grandparents, and others can now celebrate the birth of a beloved child at Clara Maass Medical Center by placing a star with the baby's name and birth date on the new "A Star is Born Wall."
The "A Star is Born Wall" is on display in the main reception area of the Maternity Center and commemorates the births of babies born at Clara Maass Medical Center. Proud families may reserve star-shaped plaques, personalized with the babies' name and date of birth, on the wall. Families are notified when their stars are etched on the wall and are invited to "star gaze" during regular visiting hours.
"Each year more than 1,500 families choose to welcome their babies into the world at Clara Maass Medical Center," says Thomas Biga, Executive Director, Clara Maass Medical Center. "We invite them to celebrate these special births with a star that marks the joyous occasion and also benefits our comprehensive Maternal and Child services."
Stars are available in the three sizes. Small stars, which list one name, are available for $250; large stars with one name are $500; and superstars that may list up to three names are $2,500.
