The Center for Diabetes Education at Community Medical Center
to offer Variety of Support Programs in August

TOMS RIVER, N.J. ­ The Center for Diabetes Education at Community Medical Center, an affiliate of the Saint Barnabas Health Care System, is offering the following programs on diabetes-related education and support services during August in Forked River and Toms River. All programs are free.

Support Group for Parents of Children with Diabetes:
Things to Consider When Sending Your Child with Diabetes Back to School Making sure that your child receives everything he needs in school for his/her diabetes management is do very important. Come and discuss what you need to know to ease the back-to-school process. At the Center for Diabetes Education in Forked River, Wednesday, August 15, 7 p.m.

Weight Management Support:
Why Is It That Some People Are Able to Lose Weight and Keep It Off?
Come and discuss the tactics and methods that enable some people to be successful at shedding pounds and maintaining weight loss. At the Center for Diabetes Education in Forked River, Tuesday, August 21, 1 p.m.

Monthly Diabetes Support
What Can You Do To Get High Blood Sugars to Be Normal?
Come and learn what you need to do to bring your blood glucose numbers back into normal range. At the Center for Diabetes Education in Forked River, Tuesday, August 21, 2 p.m., and the Center for Diabetes Education in Toms River, Monday August 27, 2:30 p.m.

Insulin Pump Support Group:
Discussing Blood Glucose Sensors
Learn about the benefits and challenges of using a continuous blood glucose sensor. At the Center for Diabetes Education in Forked River, Thursday August 23 7 p.m.
