Nephroureterectomy for Transitional Cell Cancer

The treatment of transitional cell cancers involving the urinary lining of the kidney or ureter require the removal of the kidney, the ureter and the bladder cuff, which connects the ureter to the bladder. The robotic procedure requires only a few tiny incisions in the abdomen. The kidney is cut into small pieces before removal and the ureter and bladder cuff are also removed.
