SCHOOL FACTS:

• 253 Lectures in 11.5 Months
• 9 Holidays, Spring Break.
• First Semester: 4.5 months didactic instruction.
• Second Semester: 7 months clinical laboratory rotation.
• Students must have at least a Baccalaureate Degree (BS) or have attained 90 credits in Medical Technology at an Affiliated College or University (there are 7 Affiliates).
• Students will earn 32 credits at MMC and receive BS from the Affiliated Institution upon Graduation.
• 90% Passage Rate on the two National Registry Examinations for the previous Twenty Years.

CURRICULUM: Clinical Chemistry, Endocrinology, Clinical Microbiology,
Transfusion Service, Renal Physiology & Body Fluids, Immunology, Serology, Electrophoresis, Toxicology, Therapeutic Drug Monitoring, Computer, Operations, Clinical Hematology, Hemostasis, Laboratory Management, Educational Methodologies, Clinical Laboratory Rotations

FEES: Tuition + Textbooks: $ 3,000.00; Housing: $300/month.

MISSION:

• To provide an education to qualified candidates without regard to race, creed, color, religion, age, national origin, sex, marital status, physical handicap, or liability for military service.
  
  
• To provide a structured approach to the study of the pathology of various disease states as they relate to laboratory results as well as extensive training in the technical aspects of performing these analyses.
  
  
• To provide an atmosphere of integrity and professionalism in which to prepare the student for his/her role within the health care system.
  
  
• To develop and foster such affective behaviors as professional conduct and interpersonal communication skills with patients, laboratory staff, other health care professionals, and the public.
  
  
• To observe and practice safety at all times and to respect the rights of patients and hold confidential all laboratory results.
  
  
• To provide ongoing Continuing Education Programs and Materials to Students, Staff Members, and other Clinical Professionals.
  
  
• To represent the Interests of the Department of Pathology on all in services within and outside the Laboratory.
