Wounds that resist healing can often times lead to complications.
Approximately five million Americans suffer from chronic open sores
that become infected – many of which can lead to conditions
that are more serious, especially in the case of the diabetic patient.
For the majority of people, our team of certified wound professionals
will systematically assess, create a specific treatment program
and provide communication with the patient and their families or
care givers. Our established program will promote enhancement of
your wound healing capabilities.
The Wound Treatment Center provides expert care and guidance with
a “community service” philosophy. Patients benefit
from the strong collaboration among a team of specialists – a
unique strength that enables Monmouth Medical Center to determine
effective strategies to promote the healing process for chronic
wounds.
The committed wound team members represent a broad range of fields,
including:
- they collaborate with the physicians, home health care agencies,
long term care facilities and rehabilitation facilities for
continuum care plans for the patients
- aid in the assessment, planning and delivery of care
- assess the patient, diagnose the wound, develop the plan of
care and monitor the progress of the wound when the wound is
above the knee

care and monitor the progress of the wound when the wound is
