At Newark Beth Israel, modern, state-of-the-art anesthetic management is provided for all types of surgery, covering all age and risk groups in the Medical Center's operating suites and Same Day Surgery Center. The Department also offers pain management service for chronic and acute post-operative pain. A 24-hour anesthesia service is maintained in Labor and Delivery. Techniques such as controlled analgesia and epidural medications are used.
