To those reminiscing about growing up in greater Newark years ago, remembering The Beth as one’s birthplace is to acknowledge both its extraordinary tradition of medical achievements and its pivotal role in the community as a sheltering beacon of warmth, healing and social service.
To those born more recently, beginning life at The Beth is a shining example of the dedicated pledge of the founding Jewish community to care for all those in need including individuals of every race, creed and background. To this day, The Beth remains as committed as ever to providing state-of–the art medical care and to encompassing and embracing the diverse population beyond its walls. We provide innovative outreach health services for everyone from newborns to senior citizens.
To today’s parents, Born at The Beth brings to mind the Medical Center’s Mother-Infant Pavilion where the joyous celebration of new
life begins for nearly 4,000 babies each year. The Beth is a leader in diagnosing and managing high-risk pregnancies as well as providing expert intensive care for mothers and newborns. To mothers and babies at risk The Beth serves as a vital referral site.
Born at The Beth also represents the celebration of all life – apparent in such history-making achievements and accomplishment as:
