Our Physicians

Our team of board-certified physicians includes specialists in urogynecology, reproductive endocrinology and gynecologic oncology. It is their expertise that sets our Center apart from others. Male and female board-certified gynecologists are also on staff to provide customary health needs including screenings, contraception issues and routine exams.

Patrick Anderson, MDPatrick Anderson, MD, FACOG

A Board Certified gynecological oncologist, Dr. Anderson completed his obstetric, gynecological residency and oncology fellowship at Albert Einstein College of Medicine and is a graduate of the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey Medical School.

Dr. Anderson has received awards and honors from national organizations such as the American Cancer Society and the American Institute of Chemistry and is an active researcher and teacher on a variety of subjects in his areas of expertise. He is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and a full member of the Society of Gynecologic Oncologists. He has co-authored articles that have appeared in prestigious peer-reviewed medical journals such as Gynecological Oncology, Journal of Radiation Oncology, Journal of Clinical Oncology and Journal of Women's Health.

Roy E. Baldomero, MD

Born and raised in the Philippines, Dr. Baldomero received his medical degree from the University of the East, Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Medical Center in Manila and completed his residency at The Brooklyn Hospital Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. He is a Diplomat of American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Julio Caban, MD, FACOG, FACS

Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology, Dr. Caban received his medical degree from the University of Salamanca Medical School in Salamanca, Spain and completed his residency at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center. Dr. Caban is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and the American College of Surgeons and is an active member of the American Fertility Society and Association of Gynecologic Laparascopists.

Martin L. Gimovsky, M.D.

Martin L. Gimovsky, M.D.Martin L. Gimovsky, M.D., board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology and in maternal fetal medicine, is the Residency Program Director for the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center. A graduate of the New York University School of Medicine, he completed his residency at The Sloane Hospital for Women, Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center, N.Y. He went on to complete a fellowship in maternal fetal medicine at Los Angeles County/University of Southern California Medical Center, Los Angeles, California.

John Hatchard, M.D.

John Hatchard, M.D.John Hatchard, M.D. is the Assistant Program Director for the OB/GYN Residency Program at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center. Board-certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology, Dr. Hatchard received his medical degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ) - New Jersey Medical School and went on to complete both his internship and residency at UMDNJ University Hospital, where he currently serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Joseph R. Ivan, MD, FACOG

Dr. Ivan is a graduate of Rutgers College in New Brunswick. He received a B.A. degree in Biology, with an emphasis in Microbiology. He attended medical school at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey - New Jersey Medical School, and received his Doctor of Medicine degree in 1989. Dr. Ivan completed his postgraduate training at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center, in the specialty of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He served as Chief Resident in his fourth year, and was chosen "OBGYN Resident of the Year for 92-93".

Munir Ahmad Nazir, MD, FACOG

Board Certified in obstetrics and gynecology and maternal-fetal medicine, Dr. Nazir received his medical degree from Nishtar Medical College, Punjab University in Pakistan and his residency training from Wyekoff Heights Hospital in Brooklyn, New York. Dr. Nazir is clinical assistant professor at Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and has co-authored articles that have appeared in medical journals such as the American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology, American Journal of Perinatology, Journal of Reproductive Medicine and the American Journal of Medical Genetics.

Antonia Ferrari Pinney, MD, FACOG

Dr. Pinney received her medical degree from the MCP/Hahnemann School of Medicine in Philadelphia and completed her residency at Stony Brook University Hospital in New York. She has participated in several research studies, is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and a member of the Association of Professors of Gynecology and Obstetrics.

Michael C. Pitter, MD, FACOG

Michael C. Pitter, MD, FACOGBoard Certified in General Obstetrics/Gynecology, Dr. Pitter received his Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Illinois at Chicago and received his medical education at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. He completed his post graduate residency at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center in the areas of obstetrics and gynecology.

Joseph Polcaro, DO

Joseph Polcaro, DOBoard-certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology, Joseph Polcaro, D.O., serves as the Director of the OB/GYN Clerkship at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center. A graduate of the University of Health Sciences College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kansas City, Missouri, Dr. Polcaro completed his postgraduate training at St. Michael’s Medical Center, Newark, and pursued a fellowship in Maternal Fetal Medicine at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Bronx, N.Y.

Anna Shoshilos, DO, FACOG

Dr. Shoshilos is Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and received her medical degree from New York College of Osteopathic Medicine. A Doctor of Osteopathy, she practices medicine with an emphasis on the fact that all body systems operate in unison and that disturbance in one system can alter the function of the other systems in the body. Dr. Shoshilos completed her residency training at Catholic Medical Center of Brooklyn & Queens in New York, has participated in several research studies and is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Suresh R. Thani, MD, FACOG, FACS

Suresh R. Thani, MDBoard-Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology, Dr. Thani completed his residency at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center and received his medical degree from the University of West Indies. Dr. Thani is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and the American College of Surgeons and is a member of several professional fertility and gynecological societies.
