to encourage bonding and celebration. Having a baby is one
of life’s most precious moments. Now you and your family

room-at no additional cost. And, you’ll be comforted

In addition, all of our nurses are lactation specialists with years
of experience. Additional educational programs are also available
during your hospital stay.
We welcome visitors from near and
far to share in your celebration. Wireless internet access is available
for free in all mother/baby rooms. Father/Labor
partners are encouraged to visit at any time and can even sleep
over. Siblings
and visitors are welcome between the hours of 8:00 AM to 11:00
PM. We just ask that visitors other than siblings must be 12 years
of age or older.

for a special situation, please call the Nurse Manager at 973-322-5402.
Newborn Nursery
Our
well baby nurseries and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) are
housed on the third floor of the Medical Center. Each newborn nursery
has the latest technology to support the highest quality infant
care.
The health and security of your newborn are the primary focus
of the staff of our nurseries. Identification bracelets are applied
at the time of delivery, before the baby leaves the place of delivery. These
bracelets have the same corresponding numbers as the bracelet for
the mother and her labor partner. Babies cannot be taken
out of the nursery by the parents until the bracelets are checked.
Father/significant other cannot remove their ID bracelet until
baby is discharged home. A state-of-the art computerized security
system is in place for all infants at the Medical Center.
