Urogynecologist Jeffrey Segal, M.D., Heads New Center of the OB/GYN Department at Saint Barnabas Medical Center

Livingston, N.J.—The Saint Barnabas Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology welcomes Jeffrey Segal, M.D., as Director of the new Center for Urogynecology of Saint Barnabas Medical Center. The new Center specializes in the treatment of pelvic organ prolapse, urinary incontinence, overactive bladder symptoms, voiding dysfunction, lower urinary tract and rectovaginal fistulas, fecal incontinence, chronic pelvic pain, including interstitial and other urogynecologic problems. Both conservative and surgical approaches are available for patients.

Dr. Segal graduated from Jefferson Medical College, Thomas Jefferson University and completed his residency training at Saint Barnabas Medical Center. He completed his fellowship training in urogynecology and reconstructive pelvic surgery at Good Samaritan Hospital in Cincinnati, OH. He is a highly trained clinical instructor and researcher. As an undergraduate, Dr. Segal received a B.S. in Economics with a major in Health Care Management from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.

The Center offers comprehensive, state-of-the art evaluation and treatment with a variety of nonsurgical options, including physical therapy and biofeedback, medications, vaginal inserts, and transurethral bulking agents as well as surgical options, including vaginal and abdominal approaches and minimally invasive outpatient treatments.
