Saint Barnabas Medical Center Holds an Update Concerning Breast Cancer Treatment

Livingston, N.J. – Saint Barnabas Medical Center and The Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, North Jersey Affiliate, have planned a free Breast Cancer Symposium entitled “Empowering Through Knowledge” for Saturday, March 18, 2006.

This program is designed to provide individuals with the most up-to-date information as recently presented at the 28th Annual San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium, an international event which addresses new and late breaking breast cancer information.

Presentations will be made by experts in the field of breast cancer treatment. Topics will include sexual health and menopausal issues following treatment, an update on breast imaging, genetic testing, newer approaches to adjuvant hormonal therapy and chemotherapy and advice for men when the woman they love has breast cancer.

The event will be held in the Islami Auditorium at Saint Barnabas Medical Center, located at 94 Old Short Hills Road in Livingston. Registration begins at 8:00 a.m. and the program will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Pre-registration is preferred, please call 1-888-SBHS-123.

Light refreshments will be served and complimentary parking will be available. This program is funded by an unrestricted educational grant from Aventis Oncology.
