Michael Scoppetuolo, M.D., Joins The Cancer Center LIVINGSTON, N.J. -- Michael Scoppetuolo, M.D., of Florham Park, recently joined the staff of The Cancer Center of Saint Barnabas. Though a newcomer to The Cancer Center, Dr. Scoppetuolo, has had an ongoing relationship with Saint Barnabas. Prior to joining The Cancer Center, he was in private practice for 16 years, with privileges at Saint Barnabas and Clara Maass Medical Center, both affiliates of the Saint Barnabas Health Care System. At Clara Maass, Dr. Scoppetuolo was Chairman of the Cancer Committee for the past 10 years. Board certified in both internal medicine and oncology, Dr. Scoppetuolo has had numerous academic appointments at institutions such as Cornell University Medical School and Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, and currently serves as Medical Director of The Center for Hospice Care, an affiliate of the Saint Barnabas Health Care System. He is also the former past president of the Essex County Unit of the American Cancer Society. Dr. Scoppetuolo received his undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, followed by his medical degree from the University of Health Science/The Chicago Medical School, Ill. He completed postdoctoral training at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, University Hospital, and at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, New York City. He is a member of numerous professional and civic organizations. Dr. Scoppetuolo resides in Florham Park with his wife Rosemary and their daughter, Ashley. [ top ] |
