The Community Training Center adheres to all requirements
of the American Heart Association regarding course testing
and completion. Upon successful completion, participants
will receive a Course Completion Card.

is a 4-hour course that provides
Automated External Defibrillator training to laypersons
who are not health care providers throughout New Jersey.
The training is available to police and fire departments,
corporations and businesses following passage of the Public
Access Defibrillation bill, which allows laypersons to
receive instruction and use new Automatic External Defibrillator
(AED) equipment. This course also teaches participants
how to recognize a medical emergency, adult CPR training,
first aid for choking victims, and the use of barrier devices
to reduce the risk of infection. Private, on-site courses
can be arranged for groups of six or more.

is designed to train interested candidates
in the skills necessary to teach CPR to others, and certifies
students as American Heart Association BLS Instructors. A
current American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Provider
Card is required (a copy of the card must accompany registration
form).
Due to classroom space, some courses are limited to 18
registrants.
